Gheorghiță Mateuț is an associate attorney at Popa & Associates from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Professor Mateuț has an impressive academic and practical experience in Criminal Procedure Law. He started his legal career in 1984 as prosecutor and seven years later he was registered as a member of Arad Bar Association in Romania.
With more than 32 years of professional experience, Professor Mateuț have represented his clients in some of the most notorious criminal cases in Romania. Criminal Procedure Law handbooks written by him serve as guidebooks for Romanian speaking students and law workers.
He started his academic experience in 1992, teaching Criminal Procedure Law as an Assistant Professor at Law Faculty at the Babeș Bolyai University. Nine years later, Gheorghiță Mateuț became a Law Professor by obtaining a PhD diploma. He continues to teach Criminal Procedure Law at the Babeș Bolyai University.
Professor Mateuț is a member of the International Association of Criminal Law and he was also a scholar of the Oxford and Paris V Universities. During his cooperation with “Popa & Associates” he consulted and represented, along with other colleagues, interests of our clients in front of Moldovan Courts. Professor Mateuț is registered as a foreign Lawyer at Moldovan Bar Association.
